It's too damn easy to be negative all the time, why do I need to remind myself to smile?

All the things that we've been through, all that's happened and is still happening. They're the anchors that are blocking out all the good things that I know of. Yet I try to remember all the positive memories even though it's hard. I'm trying my best to put this aside, to get rid of the anchors and push forward.

It's too damn easy to be negative all the time, why do I need to remind myself to smile? It's so easy to give up on this, to give up hope. I'm writing this down to remind myself to stay positive at heart.

All this negativity is like an anchor weighing me down, pulling me under. I'm drowning because of you, cause you keep adding weight to a load that is already too heavy. I'm trying to comprehend how people manage to move on after their life has been turned upside down. I promised myself to move forward and I'm not planning on letting myself down. I'm getting rid of my anchors.
